Optometrist
Brett Schrank is a lifelong Hoosier who grew up in Greenfield, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University in 2014 and 2016 with a bachelor's and master's degree, respectively, in mathematics. He returned to the Indiana University School of Optometry to complete his doctorate degree with highest honors in 2023. As an optometry intern, Dr. Schrank completed his clinical rotations at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, the Lexington VA Medical Center, Indianapolis Eye Care Center, and Talley Eye Institute in Evansville, Indiana.
Prior to and while attending optometry school, Dr. Schrank worked as a technician at the school's Atwater Eye Care Center, and he represented IUSO at the 2021 Optometry's Meeting Student Quiz Bowl in Denver, CO. Upon completing his internships Dr. Schrank was recognized for several awards including the Dr. James O. Hormuth Scholarship and the Indiana University School of Optometry Alumni Class of 1959 Award. Dr. Schrank has a strong interest in ocular disease management as well as primary care optometry, and he is thrilled to serve his community by providing the best possible care for their eyes and vision.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Schrank loves experiencing the outdoors through walking and hiking, playing games or puzzles, learning new songs on the piano or guitar, reading, spending time with friends, family and his two cats, Mako and Lucy.
