Anna
Slemp,
O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Anna Slemp was born and raised in southeastern Michigan. She graduated from Hope College in 2013 and went on to complete her doctorate at the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2017. As an optometry school intern, Dr. Slemp completed her clinical rotations at the Indianapolis Eye Care Center, the Eye Surgeons of Indiana, Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, and Hershel Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. In optometry school she was involved in many clubs including the IU Optometric Student Association (IUOSA), the American Academy of Optometry and the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). Dr. Slemp is board certified and has a strong interest in contact lenses, pediatrics and treating and managing ocular diseases. Dr. Slemp thinks optometry is fascinating because the eye not only helps us see and process our world, but it can also give good insights into a person’s overall health. She enjoys patients of all ages and loves building relationships as she sees her patients each year.
Dr. Slemp lives with her husband, Alex, in Greenwood, Indiana. Alex is also an Optometrist-they met in optometry school! She and Alex are anxiously awaiting the birth of their first child, a son. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside or watching TV with her husband, reading and talking walks with her dog, Shelby.
Dr. Slemp is now accepting new patients in our Rushville location!
